Core competency: web configurators
We build powerful technical web configurators that speed up quoting and raise win rates: feasibility is checked while options are being selected, and every configuration turns into a professional quote within minutes.
Your savings potential
The starting values are realistic examples for some industries, based on German labour-cost statistics; you know your own numbers best.
Salary, employer costs and workplace per productive hour
For context: an hour of labour cost German employers an average of €45.00 in 2025 (Destatis). Median gross salaries per the Entgeltatlas: mechanical engineers ≈ €6,850/month, office-management clerks ≈ €3,630/month; fully loaded that is roughly €70–85 and €40–50 per productive hour.
Including back-and-forth by email and phone, follow-up questions and pricing
Your whole team, e.g. two people with five quotes each per week
A product family is one product line with its own rule set: large UPS systems, diesel gensets and light towers are three families, fire trucks and Rollwagen two. The number of families sets the platform band — users, configurations and quotes are unlimited
How fast we respond when something is wrong or you need an adjustment beyond what you can administer yourselves
Current situation
€4,222
per month,
at 10 quotes per week
With configurator
€938
per month,
at ≈ 20 min per quote
Value of freed-up sales time
€3,284 / month
78% less quoting effort — 51 hours per month back in selling.
Put differently: capacity for 45 instead of 10 quotes per week, in the same time budget.
Platform, band S
€590/month
Service level Standard
€380/month
Net gain
≈ €2,404/month
Payback on build S (€9,900, one-time)
≈ 18 weeks
At this volume, or with this little time per quote, a configurator does not pay for itself on quoting time alone. Get in touch anyway — there are other reasons, and we will tell you if it does not pay off, because we want to keep having genuinely satisfied customers.
Pricing
What does it cost? Indicative prices for build, platform and service level.

The ≈ 20 minutes per quote comes from a live project where quote turnaround went from hours to under 20 minutes. Sounds optimistic? Fair. In the intro call we’ll walk you through how that number is reached, and whether your product logic supports it. The cost benchmarks come from German statistics (Destatis, Entgeltatlas); move the sliders to calculate with your own figures.
Configurators in daily use at, among others, Makker AS (Norway, UPS systems, customer since 2012) and Hensel Fahrzeugbau (Germany, fire engines and special vehicles, customer since 2001).

The difference
The old way
Enquiries arrive by email or phone, and every ambiguity costs another round of follow-up questions.
The specification lives in spreadsheets and in the heads of a few experts, so expert knowledge becomes the bottleneck for every quote.
Whether a combination is technically feasible often emerges late, sometimes only after the order is placed.
Days or weeks pass before the quote is ready, and the customer’s interest cools.
The new way
Prospects and sales teams are guided through configuration in the browser: around the clock, in their own language, with no prior product knowledge.
The expert knowledge lives in the rule set: built-in feasibility checking only allows technically valid combinations.
Price, bill of materials and supporting documents are generated automatically from the configuration. Every selection is calculated on the spot.
The professional quote is ready in minutes, while interest is at its peak. Approvals and handovers stay documented.
What this means for your business
01
Buyers who receive a reliable quote in minutes decide more often — and less often for your competitor.
02
Days become minutes: automatic bill of materials (BOM), pricing and quote generation as PDF, straight from the configuration.
03
The feasibility check only allows combinations your rule set permits — including electrical and mechanical compatibility checks.
04
Exports for ordering and material planning, connection to production planning with open interfaces.
Interfaces & Operations
Every configuration is a structured data set. The configurator does not stop at the quote: accepted quote → order → invoice, from the same data set. We hand over the bill of materials, costing and quote to your systems in these formats as standard:
Direct access to configurations, bills of materials and quote status, for your own systems and automations.
The universal route: every bill of materials, costing and quote summary as a CSV or Excel file.
Posting data as import files for your bookkeeping: DATEV-compatible for Germany, SIE4 for Sweden.
ZUGFeRD and XRechnung (ready for Germany’s B2B e-invoicing mandate phasing in from 2027), plus Peppol BIS for the Nordics.
Product and price data as a BMEcat- / ETIM xChange-capable export, for procurement systems and trade.
Structured parameter sets (JSON/XML) for PDM systems and parametric CAD models, e.g. Autodesk Inventor iLogic.
Further integrations — OCI, IDS-Connect, EDIFACT or a direct ERP connection — are delivered per project. Operations run on servers in Stockholm, Oslo or Frankfurt — your choice. A data processing agreement (DPA) and GDPR-compliant data handling are included.
FAQ
From around 6 weeks after complete source material (datasheets, price lists, images) to a live configurator for the first product family. The timeline is driven above all by how quickly that material is in place.
You do. Prices, articles and rules you change yourselves in an admin tool — without calling us every time an article is added. More complex logic we build for you.
Yes. A very limited proof of concept for €2,900, to sell the idea internally or test it against your product logic. If you proceed within six months, we credit it against the build fee.
Servers in Stockholm, Oslo or Frankfurt, automatic daily backups with point-in-time recovery for the last 7 days, a data processing agreement and GDPR-compliant data handling. High availability with failover is available as an option.
You own your rule set, your article and price data and every configuration and quote. Everything can be exported as JSON/CSV/SQL/PDF at no extra cost (much of it directly by you, e.g. to use data from the system in other databases or Excel). The data always belongs to you.
The application code is covered by our copyright. Should you wish to acquire it outright after, say, two years — because by then it has become business-critical and highly customised for you — that is possible for an agreed one-off payment based on a calculation model.
Not necessarily. The configurator is entirely rule-based and runs without an AI model. If AI adds value later, e.g. for complex sizing assistance or fault diagnosis, we decide that together with you and use only locally hosted open-source models or European-hosted, GDPR-compliant services. Your product and customer data never leave Europe.
Next step
In a no-obligation 30-minute intro call (in English, German or Swedish, by video or phone) you describe your product logic, and we give an honest assessment of whether and how a configurator pays off for you.
