Nära does not collect any personal data. The app has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and INNOMEGA AB runs no servers for it. Everything in Nära is shared only between the members of your family circle through Apple's iCloud. INNOMEGA AB has no access to it.
A family circle holds the names, phone numbers and FaceTime addresses you enter for its members, optional profile photos, the daily Allt väl check-ins, news posts with photos and captions, hearts, requests for help and the replies to them, medicine and appointment reminders and when they were marked done, and the settings for the senior's screen. It is stored in the iCloud database of the person who created the circle, using Apple's CloudKit sharing, and synced to the members' devices. INNOMEGA AB cannot read, access or recover it. Apple's handling of iCloud data is described in Apple's privacy policy.
Only people who join the circle through its QR code or invitation link. The person who created the circle can stop sharing or delete it, and any member can leave at any time from within the app.
If the family turns it on and the senior approves it on their device, Nära records when the senior's iPhone last moved, using the iPhone's motion sensor. If Philips Hue motion sensors are connected, the senior's device reads them over the home Wi-Fi, directly from the Hue Bridge. Only the time of the most recent movement per room is shared with the circle, never location or a movement history.
Check-in and reminder notifications are scheduled on each device, and alerts about a missed check-in and requests for help are delivered by Apple's iCloud push service. Call and video buttons hand over to the Phone and FaceTime apps. Read aloud uses the device's built-in speech. If the senior uses Siri, their voice is handled by Apple and Nära only receives the finished text. None of this sends data to INNOMEGA AB.
Any purchase in Nära is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. INNOMEGA AB never receives or stores payment or account details.
Leaving a circle removes its data from your device. Deleting the circle removes it for every member. You can also remove Nära's data in your device's iCloud settings.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date.
