Diario di Luce is built to keep your journal private. It has no user accounts, no servers of its own, no analytics, and no tracking. Your photos, entries, and metadata live on your device.
Nothing. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. The developer has no access to your journal or your photos.
When you import photos, Diario di Luce copies them into the app’s private storage on your device and reads their embedded metadata (camera, lens, exposure, and — where present — GPS and MakerNote data). These copies and their metadata stay on your device. They are never uploaded.
Location features are optional. If you choose to use your current location, or tag an entry with a place, the coordinates are stored on your device with that entry. To turn coordinates into a readable place name, the app asks Apple’s Maps service to look them up; this lookup is handled by Apple under Apple’s Privacy Policy. We never receive that information.
Optional AI writing features run entirely on your device using Apple’s on-device models. Your entries, photo context, and prompts are processed locally and are not sent to the developer or any third party.
The optional one-time “Pro” purchase is handled by Apple through the App Store. Apple processes the transaction; the developer never receives your payment details. The app only learns whether the purchase is unlocked.
You can export your journal (as a PDF or a JSON backup) and share it using the standard iOS share sheet. Where that file goes is entirely your choice; nothing is sent automatically.
Diario di Luce does not collect data from anyone, including children. It is rated 4+.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
