Catalogo di Luce does not collect, store or share any personal data. Your photos and their metadata stay on your Mac. INNOMEGA AB receives no information from the app.
The app reads photos from the folders you choose and keeps a catalog of them on your Mac. Originals are never uploaded, copied to a server or modified. Ratings, flags, labels, keywords, titles and captions are written to XMP sidecar files next to your photos, in the folders you added.
Finding duplicates, detecting faces and judging image quality use Apple’s Vision framework and run entirely on your Mac. The results are kept only in the app’s local catalog.
When you open the Places map, the app uses Apple Maps to show map tiles and to look up place names for photos that contain GPS coordinates. To do this, those coordinates are sent to Apple. Apple handles that data under its own privacy policy. INNOMEGA AB does not receive it.
Exported photos are saved where you choose. When “Include location” is turned off, GPS data is removed from exported JPEGs.
Removing a folder from the catalog removes its entries from the app. The catalog and cached thumbnails live in the app’s sandbox container (~/Library/Containers/se.innomega.catalogodiluce) and can be deleted together with the app. Your original photos and XMP sidecars stay where they are.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date.
